Name: Misten
Gender: M
Age: 19
Physical Appearance: Misten mostly looks like a the Doberman-Rottweiler cross his father was – albeit smaller than Buster would have been – although the differences between himself and Buster are clearly evident – Misten ‘s underbelly and paws are a pale cream, his ears are proportionally larger, and he has his mother’s tuft of ‘hair’ and large cerulean eyes. He wears an orange collar with a diamond tag.
Personality: A truly fair-minded individual, in most situations, Misten is a peacemaker first and foremost, in stark contrast to his sister, and seems much less affected than she by their traumatic past. Generally cool and collected, and maybe a little too serious, there isn’t much that can outwardly rile Misten – however if someone does get on his bad side, then watch out; Misten can possess a fiery rage against injustices, particularly when the victim of such treatment is Jinx.
Backstory/History: The older of the pair of unwanted pups Angel birthed with Buster, Misten had never had what could be called an easy life. Their mother abandoned and fled out of shame, leaving him and his sister, Jinx, to be raised by their uncle. Scamp tried his best, it had to be admitted, but it was clear to anyone watching that he didn’t really want to be raising Buster’s kids. But it was when Scamp (now married to Pepper) had a daughter of his own that everything got infinitely worse.
Sophie was, frankly, a spoiled brat who saw Misten and Jinx as unwanted nuisances. While Misten tried to remain civil towards the younger girl, it was all he could do to keep Jinx from tearing her limb from limb when Sophie purposefully antagonised Jinx to goad her into reacting and get her into trouble with Scamp. Needless to say, relations within the home became VERY strained for a long while until eventually Sophie grew out of her need to torment the other girl. While still very bitter towards Sophie, Jinx reluctantly agreed to let it go and tensions within the family eased very slightly – leaving Jinx free to pursue her vendetta against Angel and her other pups, much to Misten’s continual frustration. True, he didn’t like their mother any more than she did, but digging up the past and punishing Angel’s kids for her mistakes seemed to him a stupid way of going about anything. After Jinx succeeded in breaking one of Angel’s pups, Misten decided enough was enough and reluctantly approached Angel to strike a deal with her to guarantee the protection of her other pups. Before either could act on their sides of the deal, however, Misten awoke to find himself in a strange, run-down and abandoned world, without Jinx or anyone else familiar. With no obvious way home, Misten instead began to find other displaced youngsters, both animal and human – the latter somehow being able to understand him – and started forming his own tribe, with the goal of establishing themselves a civilisation of sorts in this world.
