Jack ass of a canine moved his way along the dusty dingy streets of the city. He liked the country better, or at least somewhere where the ground wasn't sticky with grime. The male shook his head violently. This was bullshit. Why in the holy hell was he here? He gave a loudish growl before stepping carefully over top of the puddles in the street. This wasn't how he wanted to spend his day at ALL.
But he hated being in the junkyard.
{When he comes to me
I am ready
I wash his feet with my hair
if he needs
forgive him when his tongue lies
through his brain.}
Aria made her way down the street as carefully as she could, still feeling nervous. While being outside was better than being inside where everything felt so close, she still wasn't familiar with this place yet. And the moans and groans of the zombies sounded awfully close. Despite the thick walls, her sharp ears had no problems hearing the mindless horde.
She picked up her pace, her almost frantic attempts to control her breathing hiding the sounds of another dog nearby. Fast as she was going, he'd have to be very quick n his feet to keep from getting run into.
It wasn't the dirt or grime or anything of that nature that was bothering Sophie - hell, she'd roll in a mud puddle if she had a good enough reason; dirt wasn't a problem to her at all - it was the sense of being all alone. She'd never, ever been so far from her father that she couldn't go running to him when it suited her purposes. But here there were no adults in sight, and Sophie knew it was only a matter of time before she ran into someone she'd wronged back home who would want revenge. She'd already detected the familiar whif of Doberanian-mix around the junkyard; if Jinx or Misten was here... while she'd taken beatings at Jinx's paws many times in the interest of getting the older girl into trouble, without Scamp around to put Jinx in her place, Sophie felt as good as dead.
Jinx wasn't the only one who had reason to want to see her hurt, either. And frankly, Sophie was terified. Any of them might be here; she'd picked up enough of a mixture of scents to be uncertain just who was around, but enough reminded her of pups who had got on her bad side to put her in a constant state of being on her guard. So when the smell of nearby canines reached her nose, even if only one of them was familiar - and then only mildly - the dal-mutt cross was instantly on the alert. "Wh-who's there?" she yapped out, trying not to sound as afraid as she felt.
Ears on the male lifted as he heard someone coming. His stomach stayed still. His jaws parted. It couldn't be a zombie, he knew that much. So what-
BAM!
The girl did indeed slam right into the male, sending Judas flying backwards. He hit a garbage can, eyes widening and then shutting tightly. He shook his head and had his fur bristle and his lip curl. "HEY, WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM YOU CRAZY BITCH?"
"Wh-who's there?"
Judas huffed, tilting his head to the side. "What in the holy hell..." he huffed, placing a paw on his head, "Ugh, am I bleeding?"
{When he comes to me
I am ready
I wash his feet with my hair
if he needs
forgive him when his tongue lies
through his brain.}
The sudden impact knocked Aria off balance, and she half-ran, half-staggered off at an angle, stopping when she careened into a wall. She pressed against its solid presence, sitting hunched as small as she could. Saba, where are you?
"I don't know where I am. I can't find my way around yet. It's all so strange," she whimpered. After a bit, she turned sightless eyes towards the male's voice, staring in his general direction with empty blue eyes. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't know you were there."
Hearing another voice nearby, the grey Husky pressed her face back against the wall. It wasn't anyone she was familiar with. The foot falls, the voice, they belonged to a complete stranger, like everyone else here so far. How was she supposed to find her way back to...wherever it was she had been taken when she came in here? She could wander in circles and not realize it, or wind up wandering outside, where those monsters were.
