Age: About 15, fox years

Physical Appearance: An adolescent fox kit, Fern has very neat fur – which is a shade darker than that of her siblings’ – and a tuft of hair on her forehead that curls ever so slightly at the tip. She has the bushy tail typical of her species, and in addition to her coat’s typical dark red, she has darker paws, lighter eye-rims and a while belly and muzzle. Like both her parents’, her eyes are a dark shade of brown, verging on black.

Personality: A very ‘prim and proper’ girl, Fern is possessed of a very no-nonsense attitude, which sets her in stark contrast to many of her siblings, particularly younger sister Moss. Fern is a rather serious girl – she can’t take a joke, especially not at her expense – who is very fussy about the way things ought to be done; something which her siblings tease her for to no end.

Backstory/History: Born the second kit of Vixey’s first litter, Fern, like the majority of her siblings, spent most of her life in the game preserve where her parents had first met. Not something she was ever really happy with; for one of her nature, being part of the unruly natural world was far from an ideal circumstance. Still, Fern managed to keep herself fairly aloof from her siblings’ ways, in spite of incessant teasing from Rowan and equally ceaseless pestering from Moss. It was only when Vixey gave birth to her second litter – two more boy kits – that Fern actually began to grow close to one of her siblings; Birch, the slightly older of the two, who never laughed at her the way the others did, and in turn, he was such a sincere cutie that Fern found it close to impossible to get angry at his accident-prone ways like her littermates did. The two formed a strong bond, and trust each other implicitly.
Fern was beyond shocked when one day, she awoke to find herself in a whole new and unfamiliar world, though reluctantly involved herself in one of the tribes. She hopes Birch, at least, has somehow been brought here too, knowing her disappearance will have worried him the most.
